| O+A is a design company that undertakes the hard challenge of working in complexity on every level in different subjects areas.
In the landscape sector, it operates on a “macro” scale, placing the structural assets of the territory at the center of the planning process at various levels (strategic and active), and on a “micro” scale, taking care of the planning of the ecological nets, of the parks and gardens and of the land-recycling, but always inside a “systemic” approach, so that even the smallest intervention is conceived as a part of the “whole” on a general lever.
In the environment sector, O+A provides the analysis, the impact tests and the environmental evaluations (VAS – Strategic Environmental Evaluation - and VIA – Environmental Impact Evaluation -) following the existing laws on a national and a regional level. It also takes care of land reclamations and safety procedures of the polluted sites, following the D.Lgs. (Legislative Decree) 152/2006.
In the architectural sector, it takes care of the sustainable building and of the bioarchitectural and bioclimatc design (paying special attention to those themes such as the use of renewable sources, the energy saving, the minimization of the environmental impacts and the landscape contextualization) and also the integrated practical planning (with a particular view towards the abandoned zones).
In the competition sector, O+A takes part in various competitions on a national and on an international level, alone and inside multidisciplinary teams, paying particular attention to the landscape and environment design. Thanks to their multidisciplinary competences, O+A can boast a peculiar experience in the management of complex processes and in particular in the area of the so called “problem solving”. The territory transformations that cannot be handled anymore as sector-base or mere “engineering” operations; today they imply the collaboration of different subjects and competences, both in the designing process and in the authorization process, especially when themes such as the landscape safeguard and the environmental protection are involved.
