Our proposal for the restoration of dunes and requalification of pine tree forests in a locality in Tuscany, has been published in “TerraeAquae, Vol. 2, Italy and the Intelligence of the Sea: Projects/Visions/Research,” developed for the “19^th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2025.”

The publication presents our environmental and landscape regeneration project for a coastal and agricultural area in Tuscany, integrating dune systems, coastal pine forests, and agricultural landscapes into a resilient ecological framework. Conceiving the landscape as a dynamic and evolving system, the project promotes sustainable management strategies that enhance biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and safeguard the area’s natural, agricultural, and infrastructural heritage.

Our project, “Ecological and Landscape System for the Circular Economy Park in Cremona”, with which we participated in the event, has been published in the catalog of the 6th edition of Pisa Architecture Biennial, whose theme this year is “NATURE”. It’s a great pleasure to be featured with an environmental and landscape redevelopment project, promoter of different values at the urban scale.

In the book of the 12th edition of the Barcelona International Landscape Biennial 2023, entitled “The Poetics of Remediation,” in conjunction with the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize, our “Circular Economy and Renewable Energy Park” has been published in the “Articulation” section, among the selected projects.

The article “Design Integrating Architecture and Landscape finds an ally in materials that evoke the Genius Loci of the place” has been published in issue no. 26 of the magazine “Finiture Green” by “La Rivista del Colore”.

Through an interview, Maurizio Ori tells about his training and experience in integrated design combining architecture, landscape, and energy. These three areas interact closely and complementarily each other, defining his design approach. With a particular sensitivity to the architectural integration into its landscape context, the care and choice of materials plays a fundamental role, as he explains in the application of some of his projects.

The article “Drosscape, Laboratory of Biodiversity” has been published in issue no. 54 of the magazine “Paysage Topscape”.
The project intervention concerns the environmental and landscape redevelopment of the former inert waste dump in Cremona,
with the aim of stitching up marginal and compromised hybrid territories among city, agricultural space and naturalistic relicts.
A laboratory of vegetational and faunistic biodiversity, with the dual purpose of mitigating the environmental and landscape impact of the former landfill and redeveloping the area itself in relationship with the panoramic, environmental and morphological characteristics of the landscape context.

O+A Ori Arienti Studio and Arch. Ezio Gozzetti, Gozzetti Architecture Studio, with POLO VERDE project have been selected by the Jury of the Italian Architect Award 2022 for publication in the Yearbook 7 of the Italian Architect Award, organised by CNAPPC.
An important recognition in a publication representing the contemporary talents of Italian architecture.
The event is an opportunity to promote – in national and international contexts – a sustainable contemporary architecture careful to the context, conceived and built in Cremona, and reasoning about urban regeneration in a suburban area through the revival and architectural reinterpretation of the Renaissance palace and the urban block.
An NZEB (Near Zero Energy Building) building that reproposes and reinterprets the elements of the historical city.
The award represents a valuable opportunity to think about the themes of architecture in relation to its urban context, new construction and energy efficiency technologies for buildings, the enhancement of the fringe landscape and the contemporary reinterpretation of “our architectural past”.

The article: “Regeneration of a hybrid landscape”, concerning the design masterplan for the Circular Economy and Renewable Energy Park in Cremona has been published on the magazine Architettura del Paesaggio no. 46 – Ghost Landscapes, and presented in Naples on 12th and 13th October as part of the European Landscape Architects Conference. The design of a hybrid landscape identifies the right mediation and answer to complex issues such as the coexistence and integration among high quality agricultural landscapes, naturalistic areas and production of electricity from renewable sources. The publication provides a description of the mitigation measures already carried out: the conversion of the former S. Rocco landfill into a completely renaturalised embankment and the creation of a hygrophilous Po valley lowland woodland as environmental compensation for the waste-to-energy plant. Both interventions, at maturity, show a high level of renaturalisation and possible project models for the future.

“Urban sufferings. Housing in times of crisis” has been published. It is an opportunity to reflect on the various topics of living in the difficult contemporary dimension of our cities, concatenated by various critical issues, and to imagine strengths that stimulate an improvement in our living, through a transdisciplinary approach aimed at sustainability.
Inside the volume, together with other authoritative colleagues, there is our contribution entitled “Nature should come back to the city”, which raises the issues of renaturalisation and ecological transition in our cities. The centrality of the landscape should be recognised not only visually and perceptually, but also for the important climate, environment and the circular economy management. Our urban areas cannot but urgently embrace the need for adaptation to ongoing climate change through “Nature Based Solutions”.

We are pleased to announce that we are featured in the publication “On Time, Tempodacqua and Water” edited by Alfonso Femia and Roberta de Ciechi. Tempodacqua is a permanent research laboratory, conceived and founded by Alfonso Femia in 2019.

The Geothermal Park project here proposed aims to respect the water cycle as a circular infrastructure that encompasses energy production, reuse, and social engagement in a non-depleting process that begins at the source, goes on through energy production, and comes back to the territory.

The in-depth volume to the Catalogue of the Italian Pavilion “Resilient Communities: Best Italian Practices”, XVII Venice Architecture Biennial 2021 has been published, edited by Alessandro Melis and Benedetta Medas.
Inside there is our contribution to this important cultural initiative. Renaturalisation, reforestation and planning on the circular economy of a suburban area disputed among energy, landscape and infrastructure. Rethinking cities through nature-based solutions to foster resilience capacity and ecosystem services.

Our contribution to the online catalogue of the XVII Venice Architecture Biennial 2021 has been published.
RESILIENT COMMUNITIES of 2021 Italian Pavilion is a valuable opportunity to address the theme of the complexity of urban/territorial transformations and the plans arrangement for the climate crises mitigation in our Country.
The current health and climate crisis will require a in-depth associative and transdisciplinary thinking among landscape, environmental, agronomic, social, energy and formal/architectural aspects and an appropriate political/administrative planning.
“Resilient communities are organisms made up of intertwined relationships, resources, opportunities and perspectives. They are capable of implementing strategies to cope with the effects of climate change”.

The book “Panglossism. The Postpandemic Architect” has been published. It is a collection of contributions by some Italian architects and professionals on issues related to architecture, landscape and environmental management, with reflections and scenarios on the possibilities of the post-pandemic period.

An article on the project “An experience in landscape in Radicondoli, Tuscany,” presenting a strategic vision for the regeneration of Siena’s Metalliferous Hills, has been published in the 37^th issue of the magazine “Landscape Architecture.”

The project adopts an interdisciplinary design approach that integrates urban planning, architecture, agronomy, landscape design, and information technology to shape a sustainable neo-rural landscape. It outlines a framework for the environmental, productive, and cultural renewal of the territory, combining ecological restoration with sustainable economic development, and community engagement.

The project ultimately proposes a resilient model for the long-term management and enhancement of this unique landscape.

The project “Green Lake: The horizon as a landscape project,” has been published in the magazine Glance Collection 2018.

The project presents a vision of hospitality where architecture and landscape merge into a single design strategy. Rooted in the character of Puegnago del Garda, the project reinterprets local traditions through a contemporary language, creating spaces that foster wellbeing, biodiversity, and a meaningful connection with the surrounding environment.

In issue no. 719 of “D”, the insert of “Repubblica”, an article on the “Silk Road Map” Competition has been published, and in particular on O+A Ori Arienti’s project “Paradise Regained. The Silk Road”, which won second place ex aequo.

In the magazine “Landscape Architecture”, dedicated to the most significant twenty-five experiences of landscape design in Italy in recent decades, an article on the general project for the new Camping-Hostel in Cremona has been published.
