Maurizio Ori begins his professional activity in 1985 and with Paola Arienti in 1994 founds the Landscape and Architecture Associated Studio “Ori e Arienti”, later named in 2009 “O+A Ori Arienti srl Landscape and Architecture”, a multidisciplinary design company.
O+A deals with architectural design, landscape design, environmental recovery, urban and river park design, environmental and landscape redevelopment of new interventions and disused areas, environmental impact assessments, landscape insertion of industrial buildings and energy design.
The Studio participated in partnership in International Landscape Architecture Competitions. In 2005 he wins, with group leader 5+1 AA and Rudy Riciotti, the International Competition for Venice Cinema Palace. In 2010 he takes part in the Silk Road Map International Competition in China and he ranks the 2nd place with an integrated project between architecture and landscape for a new intercontinental railway that was exhibited at Shanghai Expo. In 2013 the Studio wins the International Competition by invitation for a new park/botanical garden in Erbil (Iraq) with bioclimatic greenhouses and thematic vegetation.
O+A received several awards. In 2022 he is selected in the shortlist of the best projects as part of the Italian Architect Award with the project “Polo Verde” in collaboration with Arch. Ezio Gozzetti. In 2023 he wins the 2nd ex aequo CITY’SCAPE Award by applying with the project “Environmental and landscape redevelopment of the former San Rocco landfill” in Cremona. In the same year he is selected for the Rosa Barba Casanovas Award with the project “Circular Economy and Renewable Energy Park”, subsequently exhibited at Barcelona Biennial Landscape Exhibition. In 2024, he wins the 1st Prize at the Dubai Skyline Architecture Award organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Arab Emirates with the project “Polo Verde”.
